What does a volunteer do?Â
Teen volunteers work on a variety of tasks during their volunteer shifts. In the past, they’ve: tidied up bookshelves, helped prepare craft materials for programs, helped setup/cleanup for events, helped create book displays and more!
How much time do I need to commit?
That’s up to you! Most teens have a requirement with their school, so it really depends. Most shifts last 1-2 hours, depending on the library’s needs.
What happens if I can’t make my scheduled shift?
Things happen, we get it! We ask that you contact the Young Adult Librarian at least an hour before your scheduled shift to let her know.
