Last Week of the Digital History Scavenger Hunt!

In honor of National Preservation Month, the Pollard Memorial Library will be hosting a weekly Virtual Scavenger Hunt. Every Friday (May 8, 15, 22, & 29), we’ll be posting a scavenger hunt of 15 questions. All answers can be obtained online and all will be related in some way to Lowell history, buildings, people, and more. We encourage you to check out new virtual resources that show the way that organizations are capturing and preserving historical buildings, artifacts, documents, photographs, and more.

All participants will have until the following Thursday at 11:59 p.m. to submit your answers. Each Tuesday before noon, hints of the locations of the answers will be added to that week’s blog and submission form. On Friday mornings, we’ll announce the Lowell History Enthusiasts who answered all of the questions correctly (with or without help) on our social media pages on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram – each will be entered into the raffle – 1 submission per week maximum. Each Friday afternoon by 3:00 p.m., the next week’s challenge will be posted.  A raffle will be held on June 5th for a grab bag of Lowell history swag – Winner will be notified by their preferred contact method provided and posted on our social media. Happy Searching!

We recommend that you follow the Lowell Historic Board on Facebook for unique and interesting facts all month and year long!
