HVAC System being updated

Please be advised that the Department of Public Works will be installing a new temporary chiller for the building Friday, June 5th. There may be temperature fluctuations with the building leading up to and during the project installation and coming online. We apologize in advance for any issues and we may need to close certain areas of the building due to excessive heat. Thank you for your understanding during this time.

Ramp closed this weekend

Please be advised that due to maintenance of the granite tiles on the walkway of the Colburn Street Entrance, the handicap ramp will be unavailable until Monday, June 8, 2026. Please call the library at 978-674-1530 if you need assistance.

A couple of weeks ago, we presented the Best Books of 2024 according to a selection of 50 magazines, websites, newspapers, book review journals, awards committees, libraries, and bookstores. This week, we are sharing the 2024 Staff Picks. These are books published in 2024 that library staff loved. If you are eager for more, take a look at the Staff Picks display on the first floor for an ever-changing selection of books. You will know you are looking in the right place when you see the bright yellow bookmarks.

Please note that many of the books on the list are checked out due to their popularity. If you would like to reserve a book, you can place a request in the online catalog, fill out a request form, or call the reference desk at 978-674-4121.
