May is Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month celebrates the contributions that Asian and Pacific Islanders have made to American history, society, and culture. With a rise in violence against Asian Americans, it is important to learn about and support our Asian American neighbors. According to 2019 census estimates, around 20% of people in Lowell identify as Asian or part-Asian. The books below represent the diversity of Asian experiences and perspectives.
