Help us to continue to be the best library we can be.

Walt Disney Quote that says "There's really no secret about our approach. We keep moving forward—opening up new doors and doing new things—because we're curious."

We want to hear from you! You are encouraged to make suggestions to our staff at desks, via social media platforms, or even by Ask a Librarian!

Each year, the Pollard Memorial Library commits to looking at the needs of our patrons, the community, as well as the ways in which the public uses our libraries and attempts to innovate and adapt to continually meet those needs. While our statistics confirm our needs, we don’t always hear from our patrons on exactly what they are hoping that we might purchase, what programs that they would like us to offer, or even what services they love and hope we continue!

Why do we want to hear your opinions? It’s important for the library to stay relevant as what information our community and regular users need to access changes over time. We are committed to supporting not only literacy, but digital literacy to ensure that residents can utilize technology to their advantage. Our programs should reflect the needs and wants of our residents related to educational, cultural, and economic needs. It’s important that we offer services or referrals to services to better strengthen our community connections and partnerships. By working with the community, we can better use our combined resources more effectively to help patrons, but also to strengthen our workflows. Lastly, by focusing on innovation and adaptation, we will only enhance our services beyond physical materials and traditional services and create new ways to fulfill the community’s needs and ensure that we attain our mission.

Please share your thoughts about purchases, ideas, programming and more with our staff to ensure that we are truly becoming Lowell’s Library.
