Become an Indoor Tourist!

During this downtime museums, zoos, and aquariums have been providing content for free online for those stuck inside. Here are a few of my personal favorites that are definitely worth checking out.
Even though they’re closed, zoos and aquariums are still being run by their fantastic staff and caretakers. Many of which are using #closedbutstillcaring to promote the activities still going on during this shutdown. Our own Zoo New England and New England Aquarium are offering keeper talks and live feeding times on Facebook and Instagram. The Shedd Aquarium has gone viral for its penguin walkabouts on Twitter. And the Monterey Bay Aquarium has livestreams of its exhibits on its website as well as daily morning guided meditation with their moon jellies.

Care to be spooked? The Winchester Mystery House, home of the infamous Sarah Winchester of the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, is offering its first ever online tour. Man am I excited to check it out.

On March 18th 1990 13 pieces were stolen from the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum. Through google you can explore not only the museum but the 13 stolen works whose frames still hang without their paintings to this day.

Bring a little color into your life. Under the hashtag #colorourcollections museums and libraries from all over the world are transforming their artwork into coloring pages:
