Memorial Day Weekend Holiday Hours

Please be advised that our hours this weekend will be as follows:
Friday 9 am - 12 noon
Saturday 9 am - 5 pm
Sunday - CLOSED
Monday - CLOSED

As always, our materials drops on Colburn Street will be available for those returning materials and our Library 24/7 of electronic resources, catalog and e-materials will be available over the holiday weekend.

Around the World in 80 Books - part 9

We have only sixteen countries left to visit in our literary journey.  This month, we are featuring two Nobel Prize winners—one from Nigeria and one from Tanzania. The Tanzanian author won just last year. The book from Singapore was longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction. The author of our Turkish book has been nominated for many awards and her books have been translated into 56 languages. Our monthly selection also features books representing Australia, China, Dominica, and Netherlands.  

The library is open for browsing. Masks are optional. If you are not comfortable entering the library, you can request items for curbside pickup during our regular hours (Monday-Thursday 9-9; Friday and Saturday 9-5). To reserve a book, place a request in the online catalog, fill out a request form, or call the reference desk at 978-674-4121. If you love these books, you can write a review or place them in the “Awesome Box” at the ground floor checkout desk.
