Starting Monday, March 1, Curbside Hours will be as follows:
Monday – Thursday 10 am – 8 pm
Friday & Saturday 10 am – 4 pm
Step 1 – Request materials to be held.
There is a limit of 3 items requested per day per patron card. We are not currently receiving items from other libraries, so it must be a PML owned item. Place a hold on a Pollard Memorial Library item:
- Access our online catalog at https://lowell.mvlc.org (you will not be able to order items belonging to another library from our catalog page at this time) – or-
- Call the Library at 978-674-4120 to request items -or-
- Submit an item request form for adults or children & teens -or-
- Send an email to email@example.com.
Not sure what you want? Have one of our librarians create a selection of items for you to consider. Get personalized reading recommendations for adult patrons and for children, including summer reading or check out NoveList or GoodReads for some browsing ideas.
Step 2 – Schedule Pickup Once Items Are Available.
When your holds are available, you will be notified either automatically (email or text) or via phone – depending on how you chose to be contacted when signing up for your library card. Before you can get your items, you will need to schedule an appointment to pick them up. If we notify you by phone, we can schedule the appointment at the same time. If you receive automatic notifications or miss our call, please call 978-674-4120 to schedule your pick up time.
Step 3 – Pick up Items Outside Library.
Go the Colburn Street side entrance during your scheduled pick-up time. Call 978-674-1530 to let us know that you have arrived. Patrons without a telephone can knock on the door. Once you see a staff coming to the door, please return to the sidewalk. Stay at the sidewalk until the staff member opens the door and leaves your items. Collect your items and enjoy!
Holders of eCards will be unable to pick up circulating items until you convert it to a physical card.
