Lowell Women's Week Seeks Nominations for Because of Her Awards

The Lowell Women’s Week Committee is seeking nominations for the 2014 Because of Her Awards. The award acknowledges women who make significant contributions to their community but rarely receive recognition. They may perform exemplary service outside their regular jobs, help individuals or their community through one or more extraordinary acts, face unusually challenging circumstances with admirable courage, or tackle long-term, persistent problems that impact their communities.

The person(s) chosen for the award will be honored at the Lowell Women’s Week Because of Her Breakfast to
be held on Monday, March 3, 2014, at Lenzi’s, Rte. 110, Dracut. If you know a woman in the Greater Lowell area who inspires you by her dedicated volunteer service to her community or by her remarkable courage in the face of adversity, go to www.lowellwomensweek.org to download a nomination form for the Because of Her Awards. Submit it by February 1, 2014, to Katelyn Adams, Girls Incorporated of Greater Lowell, 220 Worthen Street, Lowell, MA 01852 or by fax (978) 458-4837 or email kadams@girlsinclowell.org
