Lowell Reads Happy City - Lowell Walks & Lowell Talks Salon - Thursday, September, 15 - 7PM
Join us for a panel discussion / salon type talk about Lowell Walks and how walking, waterways, natural places, and great stories can improve the quality of life for everyone in a city like Lowell. Richard P. Howe, Jr. will moderate a panel of Robert Forrant, Jane Calvin, and Paul Ratha Yem, but the night will be heavy with audience participation so come contribute!
Also note Lowell Walks is continuing into the Fall.
From Dick Howe’s website: Â This Saturday, September 17, 2016 at 10 a.m, Lowell Walks will visit Mill No 5 which is at 250 Jackson Street. The walk will be led by Franky Descoteaux, former Executive Director of EforAll, Lowell/Lawrence, long time supporter of Lowell’s local economy and former small business owner in downtown Lowell, and by Lianna Kushi, Executive Director of EforAll, Lowell/Lawrence, community activist and long time supporter Lowell’s local economy. The walk will begin at 10 a.m. at the Victorian Lounge on the fourth floor of Mill No. 5, but participants are urged to come early and visit Coffee and Cotton coffee shop, also on the fourth floor. The Walk will feature stories of the entrepreneurs who are remaking Mill No. 5, and then will venture out into the streets of Lowell to hear stories of Lowell Entrepreneurs, old and new.
