"Lowell: A Place of Invention" screening and discussion at LTC - Tuesday, September 30th at 6:30PM

With the help of our resident American Textile History Museum, Lowell was chosen by the Smithsonian Lemelson Center as a pilot for it’s innovation project: ” Places of Invention” and LTC was engaged as an outstanding local partner to help them tell Lowell’s story. After two years of research, interviews, and filming, their collaborative efforts are scheduled to debut at the National Museum of American History in 2015.

On Tuesday, September 30th at 6:30pm you can be the first to see what visitors from all over the world will see at the Smithsonian. You’ll learn about the Lowell project and the interactive exhibit that will feature the city amng a dozen of America’s “Places of Invention.” Then you can help us brainstorm ways we can continue telling Lowell’s remarkable story!

The program is presented with the Smithsonian’s Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation as part of the Places of Invention Affiliates Project, made possible thanks to a generous grant from the National Science Foundation.
