We’ve got lots going on at the library this week. Including a Delayed Opening on Thursday, March 2nd—Library Hours 11 AM-9 PM. We have a staff training the first Thursday of every month.
Elinor Lipman—On Turpentine Lane
Tuesday, February 28 – 7 PM
Acclaimed author Elinor Lipman returns to her hometown of Lowell to give a reading and signing for her eleventh novel On Turpentine Lane. Her previous work includes The View from Penthouse B, The Inn at Lake Devine, and Then She Found Me (which was made into a 2008 film of the same name starring Helen Hunt). Lipman has also written two books of non-fiction, Tweet Land of Liberty: Irreverent Rhymes from the Political Circus and I Can’t Complain: (All Too) Personal Essays. The reading and signing is free and open to the public.
Non-Fiction Book Club—Libraries in the Ancient World by Lionel Casson

The Pollard Library Non-Fiction book club happens on the first Thursday of every month. The discussions are free and open to the public. Copies of books to be discussed are available to borrow on a first come first serve basis at the Information Desk on the 1st Floor of the Library. Coffee with Director (1st Floor)

Normally held in the ground floor meeting room, this month the coffee with the Director is happening on the 1st floor.Â
