Independent Film Night - "Lucky" a film by Avie Luthra Thursday, October 10th @ 6:30PM

Join us this Thursday for our the October installment of our monthly Independent Film Night. We’ll be showing a film called “Lucky.” You might wonder how a recently orphaned, homeless, 10 year old South African boy could ever be called Lucky. Over his mother’s grave, Lucky makes a vow to make something of himself. With the unlikely help of an elderly Indian woman he shows how a child’s spirit can bring out the decency, humility and even love in adults struggling to survive in the new South Africa. SOUTH AFRICA / U.K. | Zulu, English, Hindi with English Subtitles | 104 min.  PLEASE NOTE: Independent films are not rated by the MPAA and should be considered for a mature audience.
