Independent Film Night - La Sirga - a film by William Vega - Thursday, December 12th - 6:30PM
Join us Thursday, December 12th for our monthly Independent Film Night featuring La Sirga – directed by William Vega. This film is set in Columbia and tells the story of Alicia a refugee as she flees her village for the dubious sanctuary of her uncles’ dilapidated hostel called La Sirga in the highlands of the Andes. This film has a slow build but is a quiet masterpiece. The cinematography alone is worth the price of admission. Strike that—our film nights are free—but you get what I’m saying.
The Pollard Library Independent film night occurs on the 2nd Thursday of every month. All events are free and open to the public. Please note however, that independent films are not rated by the MPAA and should be considered for a mature audience. For more information please visit our library calendar or contact Sean Thibodeau, Coordinator of Community Planning at 978-674-1542 or sthibodeau@mvlc.org.
