Patrick Modiano wins Nobel Prize in Literature

The New York Times reported this morning that French novelist Patrick Modiano has won the 2014 Nobel Prize in Literature. This international prize is given to a writer for his/her entire body of work. The last American to win the prize was Toni Morrison in 1993.

New Lead Paint Abatement Program Now Available for Homeowners in Lowell

The City of Lowell has received federal funding to assist Lowell home owners with the removal of lead paint. Merrimack Valley Housing Partnership are working with the City to promote the program and to provide intake for applicants. The program provides 0% interest loans.
