Can Ebooks & Print Books Coexist?

Our friend and neighbor, Brian Herzog, Head of Reference, over at the Chelmsford Public Library recently shared an interesting Infographic on his blog which I couldn’t help but repost because I agree it has some interesting statistics on the co-existence of printed books and e-books. It also goes a long way to answer a question we get with some frequently at the reference desk. Something along the lines of  “Is print dead?” or “How much longer will publishers still print books?” The overall picture is still a bit murky but it appears that print isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. And, in any case, as the title of the Infographic suggests “Libraries are Forever.” Do you read ebooks or print books or both? Add a comment, let us know what you think about the divide.
