Additional Off-Street Parking available during Snow Emergency

Through the coordinated and cooperative efforts of UMass Chancellor Marty Meehan and City Manager Bernie Lynch, additional off street parking has been made available during the current snow emergency for City residents in UMass Lowell’s parking garages on the university’s North (Riverside Street), South (Broadway), and East (Pawtucket Street) campuses.

Residents who do not have off street parking during the Snow Emergency Parking Ban that takes effect at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 2 may use these UMass Lowell garages along with the City’s George Ayotte Parking Facility (11 Post Office Square) and Edward Early Jr. Garage (135 Middlesex Street).

Once the “Snow Emergency” is lifted, any City of Lowell residents that have parked in the UMass Lowell or City garages will have 2 hours to remove their vehicles or not later that by 5 pm Friday.
