5th Annual Elvis Birthday Matinee - Saturday, January 3, 2015 - 1PM
Join us for our 5th Annual Elvis Birthday Matinee. The King would have turned 80 on January 8th of 2015 and so we’re celebrating his live with one of his early films. This gem from 1962, is actually a remake of a 1937 film starring Edward G. Robinson, Humphrey Bogart, and Lowell’s own Bette Davis. The King plays an ex-g.i. and reluctant pugilist. With his loyal trainer at his side, ย he quickly becomes a champion. But when the mob tries to muscle in, he pulls no punches in the ultimate bout to protect his dreams.
